Rumors are swirling this week that Carla Bruni is pregnant. Showbiz magazine Voici has even gone so far as to announce she is expecting twins this October. The former model who is married to French president Nicolas Sarkozy has said to have given up smoking and has been avoiding the subject all week long.
On Monday she was being interviewed by reporters from Le Parisien newspaper when she was directly asked if the answer on whether she's expecting Sarkozy's baby would be known in six months.
USmagazine.com reports she giggled and replied, "Yes!"
Bruni continued, "I'd love to talk to you woman to woman about my family life, my personal dreams – and I'm really a very chatty person. But on this subject, I'm going to keep quiet. Not through arrogance or because I like keeping secrets. I am remaining tight-lipped about that to protect something."
She added, "I would really like to to talk about it, but then it would take over everything else. And besides, it also involves people, so I'm not answering."
Since Sarkozy plans to campaign for the presidential elections in May 2012, the couple might want to wait to confirm the rumors until then.
Bruni has a 9-year-old son named Aurélien from a previous relationship. Sarkozy has three sons from two former marriages.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's solidifying her serial dater label. The actress, who loves writing about love, talking about love, falling in love etc, has split with her man du jour, Alex Beh.
Her rep confirmed to Us that the duo of almost a year have split, and even notes that Hewitt and the actor/writer/director "haven't been dating for a little while."
It must be a pretty heart-breaking time for the actress, who seemingly jumps from man to man (she hooked up with Beh right after ending her relationship with then-love of her life, Jamie Kennedy.)
And now we can officially confirm that being showered with ridiculous gestures means little for love longevity. "He buys me flowers every day. Ever since we met. Every single day -- I'm serious!" she proclaimed in February.
Well, guess we're bumping them off our 100 Hottest Couples of 2011 list. Not a big shocker there.

Kirstie Alley had an emotional confrontation with her 'Dancing' partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, when he pushed her in rehearsal to "move her a**" more quickly.
"I need a break!" she cried before flailing around on the floor. "You scream and jump around and I'm frustrated."
Later Kirstie admitted that the pressure Maks puts on her helps because it "makes her take it up a notch." But when it came to the performance, the judges found Kirstie's jive entertaining at best.
"It was fun, it was high-energy, it was playful. You're an actress so you come out and you act every dance beautifully," Len Goodman said. "But as a jive, it was most uneventful as far as I was concerned. I can find very little to commend it."

Ostentatious and sexually charged in her public persona, Katy Perry's serious side comes out when interviews turn to her well documented religious upbringing. Raised by Christian missionary parents, Perry lived within an evangelical world that, as she tells Vanity Fair in their June cover story, she now realizes was closed-minded and limited.
"I didn't have a childhood," Perry tells the magazine. "I was always scared I was going to get bombed when I was there... I didn't know it was more than that, that it was for women and their needs. I didn't have insurance, so I went there and I learned about birth control."
Perry tells Vanity Fair that she wasn't allowed to use the words "Devil Dog" or "Dirt Devil," and that her family was "very non-accepting." Now married to Russell Brand, a practicing Buddhist, Perry often flaunts her sex appeal; her breakout hit, after all, was called "I Kissed A Girl."
It's a juxtaposition and evolution that Perry has discussed before; in 2009, she gave an account of her changing worldview to Beliefnet:
"I was raised with certain ideas... But I definitely am now, as an adult, and in a whole new world, in a world I didn't even know existed, I definitely have different perspectives and am very much not a poster child for anything perfect or organized or cookie cutter. I have had my own relationship and my own beliefs and I'm continually on an upward search with all of that, and I really don't know the answers nor do I like to impress them on anybody else."
Perry's mom is now shopping a book about raising the star in which she says that she thinks Perry could become a great televangelist.
"I recognized the psalmist gift in her performance. Yet she sang out, 'I kissed a girl, and I liked it,' while thousands joined her. One part of my heart soared... the other part broke for the thousands of hungry souls being fed something that didn't nourish their spirit, but fed their flesh."

Well, since Judge Stephanie Sautner's recent decision to kick the felony charge down to a misdemeanor, the case will be turned over to the Los Angeles City Attorney tomorrow.
"Because the charge was reduced by the court to a misdemeanor, the district attorney no longer has jurisdiction to prosecute the case and, therefore, we will give the case to the City Attorney's Office,'' said Sandi Gibbons of the District Attorney's Office.
City attorney spokesperson Frank Mateljan tells E! News that they were told this would happen, but have yet to receive a copy of the case.
Although Sautner sided with defense attorney Shawn Holley in reducing the charge, Lohan's probation violation didn't go unnoticed.
The starlet was sentenced 120 days in jail, in which she was released hours later on bail.
But LiLo still has to perform 360 hours of community service at the Downtown Women's Center and 120 hours of service at the Los Angeles County Morgue which is supposed to start sometime this week.

In what is surely a one, two punch of truth, being that this story is not only reported by Radar but also contains statements made by JWoww’s jilted ex-lover Tom Lippolis, supposedly the Jersey Shore star tried to kill herself after the first season because she was “upset over how she was portrayed on television.” Heroically, he claims to have come to her rescue by “talking her out of the bathroom”, but not before essentially calling her a whore and then subsequently pointing out that she is a liar. Granted, suicide is not a light subject even if it’s off of the lips of a chinstrap beard-wearing douche, but if this guy was so pissed off at her, couldn’t he have done us all a favor and just given her a little nudge? *knock knock* “Jenni? It’s Tom.. no, no, you didn’t look so bad on the show. I mean, your mother cried for days after she saw you humping a bunch of strangers and pee on a curb, but you know parents can be so old-fashioned.” more pictures
