Egyptian singer Ali El Haggar said State Security during ousted President Mubarak’s reign deprived him from singing at the Television Nights concert.
Ali El Haggar stated in an interview with “Hekaytak Eih” show on Nile Life that the now defunct state security harassed him and preferred Kathem Al Saher.
El Haggar said Kathem Al Saher is innocent and praised his singing, but Mubarak’s regime is guilty and wanted to destroy him because of his songs against corruption.
The recording artist accused officials of the former regime for the low quality of Egyptian music and the deterioration of public taste.
El Haggar related how Egyptian security replaced him with Iraqi singer Kathem Al Saher when he was about to appear with his band at the Television Nights concert.
El Haggar said the reason for the reshuffle was that State Security objected to his songs against corruption. (arabia.msn)
